Junior Research Assistant
Competitive Edge Research & Communication has serviced the nation's opinion research, voter contact, and grass roots advocacy needs since 1987. We specialize in political polling, civic studies and phone-based campaign services. We are looking for an intern to work part-time, as a valuable member of the research team. Qualified applicants will have the unique opportunity to gain experience in the exciting industry of public opinion polling.

- Reviews recordings of survey interviewers /completes corresponding reports under direction of Research Associate
- Assists with quality control processes associated with all activities
- Works with Research Associate to clean and code verbatim responses
- Works with Research Associate to gather project information
Skills/Ability to:
- Evaluate information against a set of standards
- Detail oriented
- Compile, code, categorize, calculate information or data
- Understand basic statistical concepts, research methods, techniques, and/or sources of information
- Basic Microsoft Office knowledge
- Speak clearly, concisely and effectively; listen to, and understand, information and ideas as presented
- work hard with little or no supervision
Required Education:
- Enrolled in 4-Year University
- Some advanced math and/or statistical coursework a plus
